Musashimitake Shrine

At the summit of Mitakesan resides the Musashimitake shrine, a symbol of mountain worship. It is said in the Tempyo era (year 736), Gyoki, a Japanese Buddhist priest built the temple to worship Zao Gongen, a protective deity.
The treasury has national treasures and many significant articles on display.
Also, it is a shrine famous for worshipping the “Oinu-sama” or “Wolf”, and many visit the shrine with their pets.

Travel Report

When I understood that the building was built 300 years ago, I could really seize the huge efforts of the ancients who built this shrine. I was also agreeably surprised by the inside of the building and I think that the paintings on the wall were beautiful.
